Mycelium Planter Mycelium is the three-dimensional network of fungal threads from which mushrooms grow. The various raw materials (sawdust, hemp fibers, mycelium, moisture, and starch) are mixed. The substrate is placed in a mold, and then the mycelium begins to grow. During this process, the mycelium thread network grows in and around these raw materials, binding the sawdust and hemp fibers together. This process takes about a week.
I see mycelium as a metaphor for collaboration; it is organic, capable of connecting, and strengthening each other.
The planters are fully biodegradable. Mycelium is the most sustainable product of its kind. Please note that the colors of the planter may differ from the picture.
